Hatched Has a Real Shock When it Learns Sororites are Shallow

Hatched Has a Real Shock When it Learns Sororites are Shallow

This week, the GW Hatchet delves into the exciting world of investigative journalism; one female columnist writes about her venture into the world of sorority recruitment---and was surprised to find the proceedings superficial and judgmental.

You learn something new every day.

Washington Post Stoops to Recapping the Hatchet

Washington Post Stoops to Recapping the Hatchet

First we thought "Students puking in a moving vehicle?  That's not news!"

Then we thought "Student newspaper writes an article about students puking in a moving vehicle?"  That's not news once-removed.

Alas, not for the Washington Post.  Their Education section includes an article today detailing the nuances of the Hatchet article about puking...

GW Alumni Teach the Best "How To" Seminars
Eager to prepare GW students for the wide world, each semester the Class Council schedules private lectures with succesful alumni.  We can go learn at the feet of people who've succeeded at the kinds of things people go into after graduating from GW.  Like banking.  And lobbying.  And...um...banking.

A Campus Bike Theft Solution
After a spate of bike thefts on campus, UPD has advised that GW bike owners use two locks and don't leave bikes outside overnight.  Oh, and we can register them with UPD---for a fee.  Slackers.

University of Toronto police curtailed bike theft by installing GPS on nice bikes and leaving them as bait.  Take that, bike thieves!  You got Punk'd!

Our freshman survival series will just not go away! (Read Part One, Part Two.)

Last year, Heaven smiled upon GW.  After years of being forced to trek to the Dupont Circle Whole Foods to obtain edible groceries, Trader Joe's set up shop just a couple of blocks from campus.

Our freshman survival series of places-to-never-go continues! (Read Part One.)

The WOW Cafe and WIngery seemed like such a fantastic idea when its opening was announced last year. Hamburgers! In J Street! Convenient and delicious, and on GWorld.

Then it opened months behind schedule, soon fired half the student employees, and turned out to h

GW Slighted, Once Again

GW Slighted, Once Again
Newsweek has yet again released their list of the America's 25 hottest colleges. And guess who's on it?

That's right. Not GW

Beating us out as "Hottest for International Studies" is the University of Richmond. What?  What??  Come on! Richmond isn't even a real place--of course they want to leave!  Maybe they're just dropping out and pretend
