When you start moving in on Tuesday, don't try the quad side steps on any quad dorms ... because there aren't any.
New steps and doors are being worked on for Strong, Lathrop, Raymond, and Davison, but in typical Vassar fashion, they won't be done until the end of October break. Who's got bets for first person to drunkenly break through the boarded up doors?

More Than Just Co-House Fellows?
So not only are English Professors Eve Dunbar and Kiese Laymon probably dating, but they are also living together in Jewett! Both are House Fellows, living on opposite sides of the first floor.

According to the Vassar Network discussion board on facebook, this guy wants to know if there are parties that involve dancing but no drinking.
Yeah, there are those parties, but they all require you to wear a shirt and get your hand out of your pants. So no, you aren't invited. A lot more time to watch your favorite The George Lopez Show episode.

Junior Katherine Straus has hit the big time by making southcoasttoday.com's website. Apparently she likes the Simple Life (farm, not Hilton) enough to even be an Environmental Studies major!

A popular band coming to the Chance?!
Shocking, yes.
Against Me! will be playing at The Chance Theater September 4th. With a new cd out getting some pretty good reviews (4.5 from Spin?), maybe this shows that The Chance is going to bring relevant acts to Poughkeepsie.
Or maybe this is an anomaly between Jethro Tull tribute bands and really shitty metal.
