Cookout on the Green

The freshmen class of 2011 having a cookout bbq to celebrate the end of their first year. (Westhampton Green)
As classes come to an end and students are cramming for exams, the freshmen class cabinet organized a cookout on the school lawn for some fun.

Collegian article about rising tuition costs for next year (Collegian)
Tuition is going up at UR by 5%. The school says the increase was to hire new full-time faculty and staff, but what is it really for? UR is trying to become an Ivy League school. I think it's a load of s***.

The Guys are at it Again

A sign with the words "All Bigotry Hurts" hanging from the pillars of Gottwald (outside of Gottwald and D-Hall.)
So the sign guys are at it again. The same guys who did the Free Tibet sign have posted another sign outside of Gottwald, our science building. The sign reads "All Bigotry Hurts" with a little castle underneath. Is it for attention or activism?

The Bridge with Remington opening.

On 4/20 when most people are out blazing it up to celebrate Bob Marley's birthday, CAB (Campus Activities Board) held a concert at the Pier (due to the rain). The concert featured two local bands. FREE TIBET!

FREE TIBET!

If you look at the very top of the tower, you'll see a blue banner with the words "FREE TIBET" on them. This was not a school sponsored banner but the work of two daring students. The Bridge ft. Remington

An upcoming concert at UR with Remington as the opening act and The Bridge as the main act.

The Bridge is a band from Maryland. The concert is being provided by CAB the Campus Activities Board.

When? April 20, 2008.
Time? 7:00 PM.
Where? Greek Amphitheater.
The cost of attendance is FREE! So come out and support local musicians!
