Sean Astin Signing My Program (Luther)
Instead of going to the UWW commencement, I traveled to Decorah Iowa for a friend's graduation and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sean Astin of Lord of the Rings/Goonies/Encino Man fame was one of the speakers. He did a good job. It was nice.

Who said you can't go out on a Sunday? The bars have the best deals (my personal favorite being cheap, but delicious 32 oz bloody marys at the boar) and they don't mind if you pass out on the pool table.

Mermaid in the fountain after being cleaned (The Center of the Arts)
It only took them a few decades, but they did it. They finally cleaned the mermaid in the CA atrium. While it is very pretty, I think I actually preferred it green. I think it felt that way too because now it's paranoid that someone might steal it.
