The Amethyst Initiative

The Amethyst Initiative is an organization made up of U.S. college presidents and chancellors that in July 2008 launched a movement calling for the reconsideration of U.S. drinking age laws, particularly the minimum age of 21. (USA)
I was surprised when this organization is supported by over 125 college presidents.

2 year old Caylee Marie Anthony has been missing for over a month. Have you seen her? Call 1-800-423-TIPS if you have. ((Orlando, FL))
This has been a very bizarre news story that has recently gone national. A 2 year old girl, Caylee Anthony has gone missing for about a month, but the mother (who is in jail) did not report her disappearance until a month after it happened.

Obsessed, much? Spencer Taylor, 20, was arrested in Three Rivers, Michigan for trying to steal "Dark Knight" items from movie theaters while dressed up as the joker. (Three Rivers, Mich.)

UCF to open bar on campus

UCF - Tailgaters is going to open up August 1 in Knights Plaza, right across the street from the Arena and the Stadium. (Orlando, FL)
University officials feel that this will curb drunk driving. Tailgaters will have a full liqour license, unlike Wackadoos, which only serves beer.

Kevin Smith is gone. UCF has a new quarterback. O'Leary is being scrutinized. They have lost 2 key players in the heart and soul of their defensive line.
But why is UCF still picked the favorite in their conference?
