It's unclear when Blacksburg, Virginia turned into Compton, but there were shots fired at an apartment at about 4am this morning.  According to the CT, seven shots were fired from a 9mm at an apartment on Appalachian Drive.  Luckily, no one was hurt.

The Blacksburg Bandit saga continues.  VT Police released the above composite sketch of the guy with the gun (who I think is the same person as the guy with the knife.)

So, according to the CT, someone got stabbed last night in an alley between Progress St. and North Main.  A white male between the ages of 20 and 30 wearing a hooded sweatshirt stabbed the student when he refused to give him all his money.  

Stabbed?  In little old Blacksburg?  What has happened to this place-- people getting beat up and robbed

So you think there's no good dance parties in Blacksburg?  Try going to a Boogieburg performance downtown.  It's a network of DJs that get the party cranking around town, most at Cabo or Rivermill.  Sounds range from house, hip hop, raggae, latin-- basically your all around ass shaking music.  For example, the above party at Cabo last weekend.

The guys in Juxtaposition are back with their fall concert this Friday. Yeah, they're good singers and cute and all, but who knew they were clever too? Look at the concert poster above.  Notice anything?.. In the Koolaid pitcher?  Yeah, those are donkeys.
