If Possible, Baylor Bonfire Gets Bigger this Year

If Possible, Baylor Bonfire Gets Bigger this Year

The Homecoming event with the highest turn out is the Bonfire Extravaganza. There's a band, an announcement of float awards and a big ole bonfire. Really, you can't miss it. Even on the opposite side of Fountain Mall you were still sweating. The Chamber guys told people to move onto the grass so there wouldn't be any problems (that is, the grass on the other side of the road...). Plus there's hot chocolate, which wasn't a super big hit this year since it wasn't cold - really, it was about 70 even though tomorrow is November.

As for float awards, it's all political. The Baylor beloveds won, even if their float was supposed to be noncompetitive. Congrats to Tri-Delt/Phi Chi, Zeta/ATO, KOT and another group (forgot already.... they were Class C), even if people are bitter it will all come out in tomorrow's parade.

Oh and don't miss the Homecoming Court tomorrow, also in the parade. Shocker this year! Only three greeks made the cut: an ADPi (nominated by Sigma Nu), a Tri-Delt (also nominated by another body) and  Chi O. Interesting to see how some other non-winning organizations will fare with that.

Happy 99th Homecoming!
