Three Halloween Movies to Gather for a Movie Marathon this Weekend At Baylor

Next weekend, on Halloween, Baylor is hosting all of its pre-Homecoming festivities. Enter the bonfire, whatever carnival rides show up, hot chocolate and whatever else Baylor has planned. If you have any school spirit, you'll overlook that it's Halloween and enjoy the festivities. But that means hosting a Halloween soiree a little early, so here are some of the best Halloween movies:

Hocus Pocus

The best Disney movie from the early 90s that wasn't animated or featuring a Tim Allen-Santa Claus. It will bring back the days when you didn't really know what a virgin was, or why Kathy Najimi was so funny. Now neither of those are questions anymore, but the movie still rocks! Not-so-scary witches, talking black cats and a spell book to boot. This movie has everything a funny Halloween movie should.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

This cult favorite is actually my top choice because of, well, everything. Tim Curry in garters, pumps and tranny makeup, the time warp dance and the list goes on and on. The plot is genius, the songs are catchy, but not in a Miley Cyrus kind of way, and no one else could have been Dr. Frank-N-Furter. All in all this is a classic and should really be on everyone's Halloween movie list.

Carrie

Oh, Stephen King, how you can make such a thrilling story. This is my token scary movie on the list because A) a Halloween movie list isn't complete without a scary movie and B) even if this movie isn't scary anymore, that hand at the end will still make you scream. Plus Sissy Spacek does a great job opposite pre-Grease John Travolta. Oh 1970's horror flicks, how I love you.
