Marijuana field busts--what a bummer, man.
It's the biggest marijuana season in Santa Barbara County’s history--which allows for not only record levels of Sublime tracks played (coincidently UCSB's second favorite artist, according to our Facebook network page) but also record shattering marijuana field busts.
Just yesterday Santa Barbara Sheriff’s accomplished a day long marijuana field eradication of 6,345 plants just east of Highway 154 and below East Camino Cielo.
This is not a new scene for the Sheriff’s office. This year there has been an estimated $337,000,000 in plants seized, which shatters all other marijuana busts in Santa Barbara history. Just a couple weeks ago a field was found by Zaca fire pilots, and 12,480 plants were obliterated. And a month before that, six separate fields were cleared within the National Forest.
Thank Krishna that the SB County is only focusing on those scary drug cartels in the woodsy forests and not our beloved friend of a friend, those resin soaked closet growers. Then we might really have a problem on our hands.
