"Man the **** up, Nate Longshore."
The scene Saturday night at Memorial Stadium: Cal has to beat Oregon State to become the #1 football team in the country. Easy peasy, right? Oh, just kidding.
The Cal football team, in true form, took a golden opportunity (hey, it's not very often every team ranked ahead of us loses in a three-week period) and put the ball in the not-so-safe hands of redshirt freshman Kevin Riley. Three turnovers and countless bad decisions later, Cal stood in shock as OSU fans cheered jubilantly in celebration.
The student section was handed the task of not crying on national television like those lame USC chicks last week. Party theme for the night: "At least it wasn't Stanfurd!"
