Oh snap! Poor old Billy Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. Warrett Buffet knocked the Microsoft nerd extraordinaire from his pedestal, and now there’s a new crop shaking their money makers. Two leaders are the 28-year-old Boston University alum, Nishita Shah, and entertainer/producer Tyler Perry.
Forbes has released its list of Next-Gen Billionaires and published an article saying:
The glamorous Nishita Shah… is just 28 but is one of the richest people in Thailand because of her stake in her family's sprawling business empire. Last month we estimated her net worth at $375 million. When the stunning heiress is not poring over financial reports or gracing the pages of Thai magazines, she's planning her upcoming fashion line.
The most recent Forbes Celebrity 100 list estimated that 38-year-old entertainer Tyler Perry banked $125 million last year. The talented Perry, who produces, directs and acts in his creations, earned more than Jennifer Aniston, Tom Cruise and Bon Jovi combined.
One can hardly speculate as to why Forbes has named these millionaires to a list entitled “Billionaires: the Next Generation,” but maybe it gets difficult for the Forbes guys to count zeros past the six figures?
More likely, they made a typo because too busy ogling "the stunning heiress" in Thai magazines.
