Most Intelligent Party School? Princeton Review Casts Some Doubt
One of UCSB’s most popular groups on Facebook happens to be entitled, “Proud Students of the Most Intelligent Party School of the Nation.” With a membership of almost five thousand, the group boasts that UCSB is like the Harvard of party schools: that “out of all the ‘party’ schools, UCSB is the hardest to get into and the highest ranked!”

But according to the Princeton Review’s latest set of college rankings, this might be up for debate. The 2008 category for the top party schools puts UCSB at number 10, while Penn State is at spot number 6, giving UCSB a run for its money. U.S. News and Review ranks UCSB at #44 overall, with Penn at #48. Average that all out (over a stiff cocktail, of course) and the two are tied.
