Do you ever have those days when nothing, not even an ice-cream sundae or a shot of Absolut, can make you feel happy? Maybe you’ve been cooped up in Van Pelt for 56 hours straight, or maybe your roommate kept you up all night with her sleep-talking (that is not a hidden message to you, DanglingParticiple!). So what can you do?

Well, funny you should ask, because now there exists something that can get even the post pissed-off Penn student out of a slump: a live webcam of six puppies sleeping and playing and being the cutest things in the whole world.

The Puppy Cam is a streaming video of six tiny Shiba Inus who apparently turned five weeks old this past Tuesday. At any given moment, you can see how many viewers are on the site; currently, that number is 10,092. Holy crap! Who knew so many people are either in love with puppies or really, really, supremely bored?

I’m not sure how the puppies’ owners thought of such a concept, but it is admittedly a little creepy – it turns everyone into puppy-obsessed voyeurs, and these poor little babies don’t even know they’re being watched!

Then again, they should be proud to show off their preciousness to a whole slew of adoring fans. They are practically celebrities.

Plenty of Penn students have shown interest in the site, but I say we make it a phenomenon – everyone will be happier, I promise.
