Free on-campus STD testing no longer available
At the College of Santa Fe, free on-campus STD and HIV testing has been a valuable resource for students. (Especially since many students contracted Gonorrhea a number of years ago.)

With financial difficulties of the college, and a replacement RN for PMS (Presbyterian Medical Services), it has been deemed that STD/HIV testing is too expensive (screw the safety of our students) and will no longer be available.

I mean, come on. CSF has...give or take- 750 full-time students. There aren't many fish in the sea here. So two people sleep together who then sleep with someone else, who then get drunk at a party and sleep with three other people, who then go back to campus and sleep with someone else and... Bam, the whole freaking school has herpes. It's a good thing that these people can get free testing. Oh wait. They can't.

Is it not that important that a college campus of ANY size offer these services? The majority of U.S. campuses do.

My friend asked yesterday, "If someone gets a really bad case the Clap, would you actually call it a Round of Applause?" Now imagine an outbreak- that'd be more like a standing ovation.

1 in 4 girls have an STD (Seriously? That's not a friendly number.)
