A Lobotomy Would Be Funnier

Final Thoughts:  Let me be blunt – there’s absolutely nothing of value in this movie.

Nothing.

The Love Guru is more or less an hour and a half of fart jokes, lame name puns, penis references and recycled Austin Powers jokes. Whoever worked on this script needs to retire immediately.

Yes – that means you, Mike Myers and Graham Gordy. Please don’t attempt to write anything ever again.

Thanks.

Oh, and while we're at it, hire a better casting director next time too. Justin Timberlake? Really? Who thought that would be a good idea? The only three semi-notable performances in the entire film come from Verne Troyer, Stephen Colbert and Jim Gaffigan, and sadly their on-screen time is limited.

If you value your precious brain cells, don't see this movie. Ever. Don't rent it. Forget it exists. Warn everyone you know and love to avoid it like the plague.

Go see Get Smart instead.

Actually, Justin Timberlake's lawn sprinkler dance is the funniest thing in the movie. And that's not a good sign. Posted 06/23/2008 2:28 PMReply
