My Finals were much scarier.
Final Thoughts:
Has the horror industry lost its touch? It seems to me like the way to make a horror movie is to base it off a "true story", put some people in a house and loudly play sound effects to get people to jump in their seats.
The Strangers was supposed to be the horror movie of the summer, but it failed to live up to expectations. The very beginning of the movie tells you how it ends and there are no surprises in the middle. The entire movie is centered around one house with little to no back story and zero character development. I never once felt bad for Liv Tyler's character because she was a raging bitch.
The worst part was the complete lack of gratuitous nudity. No nudity? Director Bryan Bertino should at least know to show some boobs in a horror movie; I thought that was a given.
