1. Quincy
By far, the best drinking game you've never heard of, and my personal favorite. I've heard rumors that it was started at Michigan, and I have a friend who swears it began at NYU, but either way, you should be playing this game. A mix between quarters and flip cup, once you play Quincy you won't be able to play anything else. The rules are a little too complicated for this blog, but I urge you to find someone who knows the game and to play. Just do it.

(Warning: The next few are classics. Don't dismiss them though. While they may be the same games our parents played, they're still a hell of a lot of fun.)

2. Kings
A classic, but still one of the best. Often described as "the best beer game in the world," Kings is fun, can be played by a ton of people, and gets the job done. Almost the perfect storm of drinking games.

3. Beer Pong
Everybody's favorite frat boy game has evolved into the drinking game of the masses. Not particularly one of my favorites, as I'm a bit too competitive, but still one of the best drinking games out there.

4. Quarters
Yet another classic but one of the easiest to play. When a game involves lots of beer chugging, competition, and the only thing you need is a quarter, expect it to make a top drinking games list.

5. Flip cup
The last classic, I promise. Easy, easy to play and a high time-to-drunk ratio. Can't ask for much more.

6. Mario Kart Drinking Game
Started by three of my friends, from Columbia, Princeton, and Carnegie-Mellon. A great way to combine every college students favorite two activities-drinking and Mario Kart. There are countless ways to play but my favorite version involves having the fourth and third place losers drinking two beers, and first and second place drinking just one. Think Rainbow Road is hard sober? Try it piss drunk.

7. Frosty Lager
I first saw this played at Wisconsin, and it's by far the best drinking game involving dice. Be careful, though, as you tend to get drunk real quickly with this one. Also make sure to play with good friends, for they're deciding how much you drink.

8. F*ck the Dealer
Want to get drunk super quickly? Have a lot of friends and a deck of cards? F*ck the dealer is arguably a classic, but it just started to pick up steam at Maryland. Highly recommended, and all that's needed is a deck of cards. The game is pretty basic, but for instructions, click here.

Slap Cup - Quarters with a ping pong ball and quarter.

Speed Quarters - Everyone has an empty cup, make your cup you pass to the left, make it on the first try give it to whoever you want. If you get passed from the right you drink a cup from the middle.

The Slap Part - If you pass someone to the left you slap their cup as soon as you make yours. They have to grab a cup from the middle and drink it before they can shoot again.

If you make one of the middle cups by accident you have to drink it. When you play with a quarter and a beer pong ball someone always gets screwed. It takes some getting use to but it is hilarious once you get a little tipsy.

Me and my friends created a variation on flip cup called "The DUKE". Its basically 4 Vs. 1 flip cup. It is basic flip cup rules only it is one person with two Cups of Beer versus 4 people that each have one half full cup. The single person is titled "The DUKE". If the one person completes their turn before the team of four then he gets to move from the position of DUKE. If he doesnt then he is stuck there for another round, until he wins. If you are stuck at DUKE for long you will never get out, but you sure will pass out. It gets everyone drunk pretty fast and its a good time. Posted 05/20/2008 1:58 PMReply

Mario kart + beer = Booze Kart... making the loser drink is really stupid.

The game is played by finishing an entire beer during the race. The catch is that you can't drink and drive... you have to strategically stop and drink... like a pit stop. Makes it much more interesting and adds a chugging element.

my brother and i always play this game called date ape. usually he goes off for a while and then after a while, girls start passing out all over the place. i think it is called date ape because we have to pick them up and bring them back to our car, like king kong did with ann. my brother usually takes care of them after that, one night he took care of 4 girls! none of my friends have ever wanted to play with us though, and i don't know why.
