Another UCLA Tradition in Jeopardy

Another UCLA Tradition in Jeopardy

Undie Run is jeopardized. Blue and Gold Week moved. And now All-Hill Halloween will be cancelled next year because of construction on the Hill, the residential/dorm area of campus.

All-Hill Halloween allows children aged 6 to 10 years old from different areas in LA to trick-or-treat in the dorms. RAs buy the candy for the residents to pass out to the hundreds of children who are bussed in. The resident also decorate the halls and dress in costumes. The event has been in existence for twenty years and now the administration is saying it may have to be moved for the next five years, maybe even to USC.

The event, aside from being one of the biggest philanthropic events on campus, is an important and exciting tradition for students on the Hill. At an age where most of us get wasted on Halloween, this event brings a nostalgia not found in other events.

All-Hill Halloween will be held tonight on campus, but unfortunately it might be the last time. This just seems to be the latest in the detrimental changes to Bruin Pride events.
