Sorry about the delay, but it took a while to get all the pictures up.  It's been a chaotic start to summer, but the semester came to wonderful end two weeks ago with Bar Crawl 2008.  All fourteen bars opened bright and early, and the eager little Bing students paraded the streets, mugs in hand, in search of the cheapest beer.

Uncle Tony's seemed to be the happening place this year.  With the back deck open to enjoy the beautiful day/night, and no cover, what more could you ask for?  Though the lines were ridiculous (leaving no room for this apparent "crawling"), a $1.50 beer was a pretty decent bargain.  Plus, the beer turned the mugs a glowing green, which was exciting.

Sports Bar was pretty much empty. Shocking (I'm assuming you can sense the sarcasm).  The Rat was poppin' as always, and upon passing, everyone at the Belmar seemed to be having a great time.

Within the last two or three years, Binghamton police have enforced a law which forbids open containers in the streets.  This restriction certainly put a damper on the event.  Beer filled mugs on State Street are definitely a favorite past time of students.  A video on Fox 40 described this years Bar Crawl as being "a bit rowdier than last year."
There were five to six arrests for disorderly conduct or open containers in the streets.

Here's a link to the video:
It's rather amusing.
