When not saving Gotham from crime, Batman, also known as Christian Bale, allegedly spends his time beating his mother and sister.
According to Britain’s Press Association, the 34-year-old actor’s mother and sister reported that Bale assaulted them on the night of the European premiere of The Dark Knight. Instead of questioning him that very night, her Majesty’s finest elected to wait until Tuesday because “they did not want to interfere with the premiere.”
Classy.
Apparently, crime takes a backburner at Scotland Yard when Hollywood rolls into town. One can only imagine the leeway England’s own James Bond, Daniel Craig, has with the law.
Lesson learned: Beating women is OK, if you put a notorious, deranged criminal behind bars – or, at least star in a film where you do.
Late Morning Update: The Sun reports Bale has been arrested. Bale's mother and sister can undoubtedly thank OTR for motivating the police force.

This is typical of your usual American hype, try reading the British press if you want an good example of real reporting as they have not posted any such nonsense and would never used words such beating his mother and sister without sufficient evidence which you sir ar severly lacking!!!
Annoyed Brit!!!! Posted 07/22/2008 10:39 AMReply
Do you realise the seriousness of your statement? Who are you, anyway? Do you know Christian Bale and his standing? Or if you're talking about "Batman", ever read a comic? Get your facts straight before "reporting" anything. Do not abuse the media, sir. No statement has been issued by Mr. Bale as yet which gives YOU no ****ING RIGHT to say anything about this matter. You do not know the details of the event in question neither the circumstances. For God's sake refrain from using such hateful and undignified language as well. Posted 07/22/2008 12:53 PMReply
Don't you have something else to do, like taking that large piece of bark out of your rump.
All I have to say here is reading is fundamental. Also, pay attention to words like "according to" and "allegedly."
You're all so dense. Posted 07/22/2008 3:29 PMReply
While you may not have explicitly said that he does, it's bad form to imply anything...this is news, people want facts, not your half ass headline makers, and certainly not your pathetic implications about cops not doing their jobs. Posted 07/22/2008 8:43 PMReply
Get lives now.
It's vital to your health.
Plus, Christian Bale makes too much money to give a crap what you say on a blog to "defend" him, or the UK for that matter. Posted 07/23/2008 1:10 PMReply
