Syracuse University lacrosse player Mike Leveille just had the best week ever.
Saturday, 24th of May: Leveille is awarded 2008 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award
Monday, 26th of May: Syracuse claims victory over Johns Hopkins in the N.C.A.A. championship
Monday, 26th of May: Leveille named NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player
Saturday, 31st of May: Leveille wins the Tewaaraton Trophy (lacrosse’s equivalent to the Heisman Trophy)
Upon receiving the Tewaaraton Trophy, Leveille said, "This is a tremendous honor." Indeed it is. In fact, it’s the top honor a college lacrosse player can hope to attain.
Leveille is not undeserving of his rewards. He was simply the best. He led the orange in goals (38), assists (26) and over all points (64). And was third in the nation for points per game.
