Well bad news for half the campus, UHS has just jacked up the price of popular birth control pill Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo from $21 to $50 for a month’s supply. Girls around campus have been heard to sigh in disgust while guys have been heard to collectively say “not my problem.”

Apparently UHS has been keeping prices at the low, low price of $21 for so long because they bought an 18 month supply at the price last year, because they knew prices were going to be raised. But you U of M crazies have been having too much sex (I’m looking at you EK), so now they ran out of their stockpile and now it’s the new fabulous price of $50.

The good news is, the generic version of Ortho is still pretty cheap at $24.The two pills are supposed to be identical, but do you really want to tell your kid someday that, “You’re here because I was so poor I had to buy generic”?
