When you think about being a freshman, maybe you think of taking all those 101 classes and maybe being the bottom of social hierarchy. For Kellen Moore, the Boise State University QB, this is not the case however. This week, Moore was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation’s National Offensive Player of the Week.
Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore has been named the Walter Camp Football Foundation's National Offensive Player of the Week.
Moore, a redshirt freshman from Prosser, Wash., completed 25 of 37 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns to help the Broncos knock off No. 17 Oregon, 37-32, in Eugene. He also had one interception on a tipped pass.
On the season, Moore has completed 57 of 79 passes for 840 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception. His passer efficiency rating is 179.82.
The Broncos are now 3 and 0, and last week’s victory over Oregon was the first time that the school was able to beat a Pac-10 team away from home. Oh snap! Moore shouldn’t be too worried about being seen as a lowly freshman.
