On Saturday, auditions for the next season of America’s Next Top Model were held in New York City. Thousands from across the country came out for their shot to impress Tyra Banks and earn a highly coveted spot on the show, but what 99.9% of them received was something far less… glamorous: a bomb scare.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if you yelled ‘bomb’ or ‘fire’ on a crowded street, here it is. While you can’t hear the initial yell that sparked the panic, you do see the crowd immediately begin to disperse from the area in which the shout originated from.

Eventually, as the people in the middle hastily try to pushed and shoved their way out, they began to shout ‘bomb’ in an effort to motivate their peers. Naturally, this caused a domino effect in which more and more people started to panic and stampede their way to safety.

All in all, six would-be contestants were injured in the ruckus, and NYPD arrested three people. While some have been quick to poke fun at the models for returning to the “problem zone” shortly after the initial rush began, I won’t. Stampedes of any sort are a dangerous thing, and it’s shocking that no one was seriously injured.

Although, I’m sure it wouldn’t be very hard to equate the average model’s IQ with that of a sea cucumber right about now.
