The New and Improved BSB

The New and Improved BSB

Last week proved that “what’s in a name” is money. Last Wednesday the GSB received the largest gift a single graduate school has ever seen and was immediately renamed that same day to The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The BSB, if you will.

David Booth gave a $300 million donation to the Graduate School of business, allocating the money to the endowment. In true UofC fashion Mr. Booth wants the GSB to invest in “ideas” with the funds pretty open. Thoughts, theories and faculty. But sadly the GSB will not be called the BSB officially. So much for fun acronyms.

Mr. Booth speaks of Chicago and his investment: here.

Let’s hope these ideas can solve the current economic crisis. A new BS(B) to help solve all bs.
