What number “comeback” are we on now? I’ve lost count. Despite rehab, a custody battle and court ordered supervision, Britney Spears manged to crank out another number one album. Forget pop star, Spears is a rockstar. Or maybe that’s just the new order of things these days. Her manager seems to know this better than anyone:
"At the end of the day, I think she is America's pop princess, and the world's pop princess, and this just reconfirms it to everyone who doubted it," said her manager, Larry Rudolph.
MTV also put together a documentary about Britney days before Circus came out, and it showed her to be well, human. That might have helped album sales a little bit, but more than likely it’s just the fact that there is an army of die-hard (and closet) Britney fans out there still willing to shell out $18 to support her.
I’ve discovered a formula to Britney’s success. It goes albums success = 100/upskirt photos in a given year. Think about it, it’s flawless.
