Bush Pisses Off Evangelicals With His Blasphemous Bible Talk

If Bush wants to leave office with any remaining supporters, perhaps he should just try not to speak again until January.

So what was the blasphemous Bush saying wrong now?

In a Nightline interview, Georgie shared his thoughts on the subject closest to conservative Christians hearts… the Bible. Unfortunately, it left Evangelicals feeling wrathful. But how could that be when all he said was:

"I think that God created the Earth, created the world; I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution," he told ABC television.

Asked whether the Bible was literally true, Bush replied: "Probably not. No, I'm not a literalist, but I think you can learn a lot from it."

Wow lending some defensee to evolution and debunking the literal truth of the Bible all in one interview? Now some might call that kind of thinking logic… which is rare for President Bush. However, knowing his base, it was yet another bad move. Say bye, bye Evangelical support.

C’mon George you only have a month to go… you can do this.
