Wonder what that small object was that hit you on your way to the pool this summer? Must have been something that a high schooler shot at you as part of the first ever "Catapult Camp."

According to U.S. News and World Report, 31 high school students built mini-catapults at Maryland this summer, as the university strived to recruit minority students into the scientific disciplines.

I'd crack a joke here about how "scientific" building a catapult is but I'm the same guy who took plant science for a lab and spent a semester drawing leaves. So, yeah.
