When Auburn announced last week that it was hiring Gene "5-19" Chizik to be the new head coach of its football team, reactions were intense... most were intensely angry.

Now that some time has passed the strength of those reactions haven't really seemed to die down.

Deadspin.com posted the picture above today, showing some displeasure at the news. The photo comes from a screenshot of the Iowa State central campus webcam. As you can see some Iowa State students were not so happy about their coach ditching them.

In a more lighthearted moment, Chris Webber of TNT's Inside The NBA took out his frustration on air:

Webber went Iraqi-journalist-shoe-thrower on Charles Barkley's ass, yelling "This is for Gene Chizik" mid-toss. When the Chizik decision was made, Barkley spoke out, saying Turner Gill had been passed over due to race.
