Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann too Liberal for MSNBC, and That's Saying Something

Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann have been uprooted from their roles as MSNBC's anchors and will be replaced by David Gregory for all upcoming political events. The network was coming under intense fire for the duo's coverage of the Republican National Convention. Frequent on-air confrontations erupted between the two "anchors" (who normally host their own liberal opinion shows) and their on-air counterparts like the conservative Joe Scarborough and correspondent David Schuster.

At one point last week, Olberman literally apologized to viewers for an offensive Sept. 11th "tribute" video which he deemed horrendously inappropriate and "meant to bring back the hurt we felt that day." To be fair, the video was pretty obscene, but Anderson Cooper never would've let it get to him.
