Let’s face it: college isn’t for everyone.

Unlike yesterday’s sterling example of academic excellence, Heidi Montag—whether you love and/or hate her—proves that even without a proper collegiate education one can become a multi-millionaire for doing, well, nothing.

Before becoming a faux actress on The Hills, Montag attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles with Lauren Conrad, who, at the time, was her roommate and the star of the hit MTV reality series. After a few months, Montag called it quits, dropping out of the college to pursue a career in event promoting at Bolthouse Productions. Unfortunately, by then, the damage had already been done: Montag had become famous, thanks entirely to her roommate.

According to an interview from 2006, she claimed that she exited FIDM because she didn’t find the school “challenging” enough.

Right.

In any case, Montaq has remained in the public spotlight through a series of unfortunate events: most notably, for marrying her former co-star, Spencer Pratt, and openly admitting to undergoing cosmetic surgery to reshape—practically everything on her body.

Heidi, you’ve taught me one thing: I am in the wrong line of work. Reality TV, here I come.
