Couldn’t Afford College? Thank Your Local Government.
By soon-to-be OTR contributor StenchBlossom...

In 2003, members of the Texas Legislature voted to deregulate college tuition, and by their own analysis knew that this would mean significantly higher tuition rates that would make continued education an impossibility for around 100,000 young Texans each year.

Now, it is of course no surprise that the government in Texas screws people over, that’s kind of their thing, but this is really rather ridiculous...I mean, putting retards on death-row, that’s one thing, but this...this is crazy. Now the average student in Texas has a huge student loan debt (around $19,000 per student) and because of the need for money, and therefore the need to have a job, the typical Texas student takes six years to get a BA.

If this wasn’t retarded enough, the legislators have now instituted penalties for students who have not finished college in four years or less.

It’s times like this when I wish the South had won the Civil War, they would have succeeded from the Nation, and America would have been a better place for it. Screw Texas, nothing good ever came from it (unless you count Pantera as good, which is something I am not quite prepared to do), let’s kick ‘em out and replace them with Guam, let’s resume nuclear testing with an unbelievable fervor and turn that sandy wasteland into a glassy, radioactive paradise, where mutants and norms battle to the death for un-poisoned water, let’s watch that state crumble into idiocy.

**** Texas with a cactus.
