Ed McMahon Is Pontiac's New Face

Forget about the Honda Element crab or the VW Beatle who seduces Heidi Klum, Ed McMahon is about to blow those two out of the car garage. The 85-year old Johnny Carson sidekick will join Jimmy Kimmel today for his reintroduction into the television world. The pair will be the new faces of Pontiac G8.

The proud father of a Quinnipiac student, McMahon donated the university’s communications building. One of the university’s most popular majors, the university proudly paid tribute to its biggest contributor by naming the building after him and awarding him a plaque that still hangs on the building’s wall today.

After recovering from two back-to-back neck surgeries and his latest financial bout (Citibank sued him for close to $200,000 - turns out he didn't have a closet full of giant checks!), McMahon was practically jumping when Pontiac approached him with the idea. McMahon and Kimmel will star in a series of four Pontiac G8 commercials. A talk show host, millionaire building-giver and a redeemed commercial connoisseur, McMahon’s commercial will air tonight during Jimmy Kimmel Live!
