Election Day Experiences

Election Day Experiences

So, I voted. I have a red sticker on my shirt which makes this a public fact. I hope all of you voted and got your stickers as well, as a way to express what it is you've done. These are much better received than the "I Yodeled" or "I Farted But Got More Than I Bargained For" stickers I've worn recently, as voting is more of a patriotic duty and awareness of it is more socially acceptible.

Voting took almost no time or effort. I was expecting at least some sort of a line to stand in, milling about with other vote-niks and debating candidates merits. Instead, I walked to the old lady with the chart, who sent me to the old lady who showed me how to put ink in bubbles, who sent me to the lady with a balloon who gave me liscence to put this new skill into practice. Then a machine sucked my vote away and I saw America in progress. I shed a little tear, saluted the final old lady, and headed home to waste the rest of my day.

How was your voting experience?

Easy as pie - Minimal hassle or red tape in the way

Mad bitchy - The line was way long and the guy in front of me smelled of public transportation

Minor difficulties - They want me to bring a utilility bill? What country is this?

Disenfranchised - Somebody told me third party voters have to wait til tomorrow to vote

Already done - I voted early or absentee, I missed the rigamaroll and didn't have to put up with all the car horns

Didn't vote - I am dumb/lazy/cynical/looking to commit suicide by the hand of Puff Daddy
