Thanks to the ailing economy, General Motors is putting the Cadillac XLR, the supercharged V-Series, out to pasture this spring.

 

Apparently, penny-pinching Americans didn’t want to pay $85,000 for a luxury car during an economic crisis, so GM decided it was time to put a shotgun to the XLR’s metallic scalp and cease production forever.

 

The bright side, however, is that the XLR will now become a high-priced collector’s item, which means its secondary market value will likely skyrocket in a few years. It’s time to invest, even if you’re broke, in debt and on the verge of becoming homeless. [READ: Everyone looking at this article.]

 

After all, you could always live in the XLR, which is undoubtedly much nicer and classier than the current 10x10 dingy dungeon that you call a home. Plus, the ladies may overlook the fact that you’re broke, unemployed and homeless once they lay their eyes on the XLR’s sleek design –and what you have under the hood.
