The economy may be in a crunch, but thankfully, people keep giving away stuff for free! Granted it’s mostly stuff that was cheap to begin with, but did I mention that now it’s free? Dr. Pepper is the latest to jump on the delicious free product band wagon and we’re not complaining.
Back in March, Dr. Pepper promised that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if Guns N’ Roses actually released its “Chinese Democracy” album in 2008. Recording for the infamously delayed album began in 1995 and now, 17 years later, it is finally being released on November 23.
I don’t know why the Doctor felt so inclined to celebrate this milestone, but at least he’s living up to his promise. On November 23, starting at 12:01 a.m. and lasting 24 hours, coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be available on Dr. Pepper’s Web site drpepper.com. You can redeem the coupons anywhere Dr. Pepper is sold any time until Feb. 28.
Oh Guns N’ Roses, I probably won’t buy your album, but I’ll enjoy a nice cold refreshing soda on you. So for that, I thank you.
