Hot Popstar Jamie Jo Attended NYU and U Miami, Now Sings About Being Turned On

Back in the day, Jamie Jo attended NYU and the University of Miami to study photography, but now she's reinvented herself as a popstar. Today she told CollegeOTR, "At the time [I was in college], I had a love of photography and music was just a hobby. Then it grew into a passion."

The singer recently released a new single, "U Turn Me On," which should get some sorority booties shaking with its dreamy disco pop beat. Soon she’ll also release her debut album, In Violet. Jamie Jo co-writes the lyrics and melodies to her songs, and told OTR, “There’s a lot of good imagery in the writing for In Violet.”

Speaking of imagery, Jamie Jo is not so hard on the eyes but definitely more than just a pretty face, with her dedication to various philanthrophic causes. Currently, she is the president of the Young Society for Juvenile Diabetes and involved with the Women of Tomorrow mentorship program, the Children's Home Society, and the Sylvester Cancer Research Center.

Jamie Jo hopes to go on tour in November to cities like Chicago, Washington D.C., and New York.
