In case you’ve been wondering where to bring a girl on a date if you want her to break up with you, here’s an event to pencil into the agenda book: the second annual Kin-Yoobi convention, a gathering of gamers and comic book junkies at Chabot College in Hayward, California.

The convention will include a Costume Play (or Cosplay, in geek speak) competition, panel discussions such as “Manga or Anime? Which is better?”, and an autograph signing by Robert Axelrod of Star Trek: Voyager and The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. To some, an afternoon of listening to seven bands playing music from famous video games and offering plush anime dolls to their sweetheart may seem like a memorably unique affair. They are delusional. About on par with a Renaissance Fair, the Kin-Yoobi convention can really only be described as the ultimate anti-aphrodisiac.

So if you’d rather spend time with your lady friend role playing instead of getting glazy-eyed over RPGs, steer clear of this one.
