Jack-of-All-Trades Stephen Lynch to Perform at Penn

Tomorrow, October 17th, is The Social Planning and Event Committee’s (SPEC) Fall Concert, and the featured performed will be Stephen Lynch. I hate to sound un-informed, but I had never actually heard of the dude until a few days ago when someone said, “Hey, did you know Stephen Lynch is performing at Penn on Friday? Yea, I don’t know who he is either.”

At first I thought he was another random pop-trying-to-be-alternative singer, but then I found out he’s actually the comedian slash singer slash actor who starred in the Broadway adaptation of The Wedding Singer, which is pretty cool.

Now I understand why the SPEC ads proclaim, “Stephen Lynch…Knows How to Avoid the Cock Block.” I was unaware as to how that was relevant to his music until I found out he was also a comedian – of course!

So Stephen Lynch will be performing (music? Stand-up? A little bit of both?) tomorrow night at Irvine Auditorium. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30. Advance tickets are available for $15 on Locust Walk (though you’re cutting it pretty close if you buy them today!) or at this website. Buying tickets at the door to see this mysterious extravaganza will cost $20.

If anyone goes, will you please let me know just exactly what this guy does?
