University of Illinois Students, Check Out Jamie Day: Just Another Illinois Bartender Arrested For Working In The Buff

Is this really becoming a trend? Yet another Illinois bartender was arrested after serving up drinks in the nude. Just last month, a woman working at The Cabin Inc. in Delhi was charged with public indecency after some in-the-buff bartending. Now Jamie Day is following in her footsteps.

The 24-year-old Day works as a bartender at the Pub Room in Alton, IL. Police came to the establishment after a customer complained of the nudity. Who is the whining customer? Something tells me it’s a female though. Or just someone a little concerned about small things like hygiene.

Luckily, Day managed to throw on a shirt right before the police arrive. However, she still got slapped with a misdemeanor lewd entertainment charge. Did I mention this all happened at 2:41 p.m.? Oh and these sort of problems seem to crop up at the Pub Room fairly often. The Telegraph explains:

The Pub Room has been the subject of several complaints of nudity in recent months and years.

On Dec. 23, 2005, two scantily clad women employees and a female customer were charged with public indecency after allegedly showing their breasts.

Someone called police to complain about "partially naked women" at the business. According to an Alton police report, one of the employees was wearing only a thin, black G-string and black boots; a second employee was working partially clothed in a transparent red, lingerie top, Santa Claus hat, thin G-string underwear, white high-heeled shoes, thigh-high stockings, and her top was open, exposing her breasts.

The 21-year-old customer, a roommate of one of the employees at the time, had on a black transparent top pulled open to expose her breasts, a G-string and black boots.

I think there is a pretty simple explanation for all of this and it lies in a mistaken identity. The Pub Room isn’t a “bar” it’s a strip club. Case closed.
