Jason Caffey, Former University of Alabama and Chicago Bulls Player, Loses Bankruptcy Case, Must Pay For His Many, Many Children

Jason Caffey won two championships with the Chicago Bulls as a reserve power forward in the 90s, and he sure does know how to score. He scored so much he ended up with ten children… from eight different women. What he’s not as good at, apparently, is paying child support.

The former University of Alabama basketball player and current deadbeat dad has already served an eight-day jail sentence this month for failure to send money to one of the kids. In response, Caffey told WKRG “It’s never that I didn’t send child support, it’s just that I didn’t send the amount that was said to be sent by the courts.” Sorry Jason, $5 Starbucks gift cards don’t count as child support.

Most recently, Caffey even went so far as to file for bankruptcy in order to get out of coughing up some cash or going to jail again. Where, oh where, did that NBA money go? Too bad for him, an Alabama judge just dismissed his bankruptcy case, leaving the many mothers of his many kids to sue like crazy for the child-support and for a Georgia warrant for his arrest to be reinstated.

Mo’ money, mo’ problems, but no money, even mo’ problems… especially when you have almost a basketball team’s worth of kids.
