Joe The Plumber To Become A Country Music Star, Vanderbilt Exclaims "Stay Away From Nashville"

The real winner in this election cycle is no doubt Joe the Plumber. That guy went from nobody to celebrity faster than you can unclog a toilet.

Joe the Plumber, aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, burst onto the political scene when he pressed Barack Obama about his tax plan. McCain pounced and next thing you know, Joe was the main attraction of the third presidential debate, somehow connected to the Keating scandal and exposed as not an actual plumber!

Now he’s looking to capitalize on the fame and make a little fortune while he’s at it (since Obama’s tax plan certainly isn’t going to help him, har har). Nashville, here's your next star. Politico gives us the scoop on Wurzelbacher’s emerging musical career:

On Tuesday, Wurzelbacher joined country music artist and producer Aaron Tippin to form a new partnership that includes booking-management firm Bobby Roberts and publicity-management concern The Press Office to field the multiple media offers he’s received over the past few weeks.

Among the requests: a possible record deal with a major label, personal appearances and corporate sponsorships. A longtime country music fan, Wurzelbacher can sing and “knocks around on guitar” but is not an accomplished musician or songwriter, according to The Press Office’s Jim Della Croce.

There are no words.

Aaron Tippin just spit in the face of thousands of hard working musicians that work day in and day out on their craft, that have paid their dues honestly with their blood, sweat and tears. Shame on you Aaron. Posted 10/29/2008 11:16 PMReply
