John Daly loves three things dearly: golf, booze, and boobs. Problematically, it can be difficult for him placing the three in hierarchal order, which is why his longtime coach Butch Harmon dropped him earlier this year, saying that the “most important thing in his life is getting drunk.” This may not be true though— at the PODS Championship, Daly spent a good portion of the day carousing in the Hooters hospitality tent. All we know is, golf ranks third behind booze and boobs. Now, the 1991 “zero to hero” PGA champ is in the news again, and not for golf.

Bloomberg reports:

Daly ``appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative,'' police said in their report of the incident. Daly is a ``regular'' at Hooters, one of his sponsors, according to the golfer's Web site.

Since the 42-year-old, who was asked to leave the premises by Hooters' personnel, had no transportation, officers took him into custody ``out of concern for his level of intoxication,'' police said.

He was taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center for ``a 24-hour sober up,'' police said. Daly's agent Bud Martin didn't immediately answer an e-mail seeking comment.

In July, Daly challenged former coach Butch Harmon to ``be a man'' following a row about his lifestyle.

This is the sort of behavior we’ve come to expect from John Daly, and we love him for it. He’s no gentleman, he’s got a hell of a backswing, and he’s managed to make it to 42-years-old acting like a University of Arkansas frat boy. Next time though, he may want to lay off the booze and focus on the boobs, since you can’t OD on those puppies. With his orange jail jumpsuit, he'll fit right in at Hooters.
