KY Lady Kicked Out of Mall for Short Dress

Kymberly Clem has been called the” Dumbest Girl in America” by SoMeSoU.com after being kicked out of the Richmond Mall for wearing a dress considered too short by mall security. The twenty year old Kentucky provocateur recounts, “A security guard approached me… then he asked me to leave because my outfit was too provocative and people’s husbands was looking at me.”

Clem had bought the dress that got her kicked out the day before at that very mall. Though she has visited the shopping center many times, this was the first time she was ever asked to leave, which is inconceivable to Clem who told WKYT, “I have shorts, to be honest, you know that are completely worse than this dress and I have never been said anything to about it.”

Maybe she can’t speak grammatically, but Clem has a sense of justice, telling WKYT, “It should be known like that’s discrimination, you know? People can walk in a mall and have ‘I Hate God’ on them, which offends me and other people, and you know, nobody does anything about it, but I walk in, I’m twenty years old, I should be able to wear what I want to wear, you know?”

It remains unclear whether Mz. Clem will fight for her right to wear small polyester dresses in court. In honor of our activist friend, I encourage all to don booty shorts and mini dresses today, then toast “To Kim, the one who dared to bared her coochie.”

I dunno... I see it both ways, you know. But I side with Kym - she should be able to wear what she wants. If some other ladies don't like their husbands checking her out, they should talk to their husbands. It's wrong that she should be singled out for looking good. It's her body and her reputation after all. As long as she was behaving respectably there is no reason she should be harrassed for revealing clothing. I hope she sues and wins a big settlement so 1) other gals and guys won't be subject to the same discrimination, and 2) she can buy more revealing clothing to wear out and about! this is ridiculous! I was at the mall and Abercrombie and Fitch uses half naked men standing in the entrance way. She is at least wearing clothes! Completely absurd Posted 08/19/2008 6:13 PMReply
