Who knew it would be so difficult to get a bunch of women together to play football in lingerie? It’s a simple enough concept and I’m sure there are women aplenty willing to strip down and be ogled. There’s certainly no shortage in guys willing to do the ogling. And yet problems continue to plague the highly anticipated Super Bowl weekend event.
First, prudes in Tampa blocked usage of the intended venue. Angry citizens fought against the supposed sleaze coming to their neighborhood. Have no fear though, the Caliente “clothing optional” resort in Pasco County has stepped in to save the day and host the event.
But now the complaints continue. Some of the players, you know the girls who play in next-to-nothing “clothing,” aren’t so happy about the nudist resort locale. SportsByBrooks gives us all the hypocrisy, starting with Tampa Bay Breeze quarterback Reby Sky’s grievance:
“I don’t have anything against the lifestyle,” Sky said, referring to the shift to a nudist resort. “But we as players were having a hard enough time dealing with and defending against the negative stigmas and stereotypes associated with the sport and playing attire before it was announced that we would be playing at a nudist resort.”

Reby Sky showing her distaste for nudity.
See, she’s a serious athlete. Did I mention she’s (voluntarily) posed nude in Playboy as well as had her share of nearly nude photos taken elsewhere? Now who’s the naked pot calling the naked kettle black?

It's strings like these that separate the serious athletes from the nudists.
Reby Sky should just be honest – People at nudist resorts aren’t usually the hottest tamales in the bunch and Sky doesn’t want to be surrounded by ugly. At least that people could understand.

Melissa Berry is another modest Lingerie Bowl player.
Clothing issues aside (and preferably off), money woes are also afflicting the league. Horizon Productions, the company in charge of the Lingerie Bowl, has supposedly failed to compensate players for an earlier game and is now only paying out $1,000 for the big game. That’s about 70 percent less than the players were originally promised.
An agent, Ricker Yankowski, is speaking out about Horizon’s horribly immoral immorality:
“I never thought it would come down to this,” Yankowski said. “Taking these girls away from home and family and work, then paying them a lot less, then making them play at a nudist resort, is below moral.”
Can’t we all just get along… and get down to our underwear already?
