Ludacris Song Boosts Obama, Bashes the Rest

The rap community seems to be all about Obama, but the support does more harm than help. While their endorsement is probably intended to motivate the college aged, the results have been dubious.

Jumping on the Barack band wagon started by Nas, Ludacris released a pro-Obama video on YouTube yesterday. Unfortunately, the video was also anti-everyone else. No one is safe from his wrath, including Jesse Jackson, Bush, McCain and Hillary, who Ludacris calls “an irrelevant b****.”

After issuing a call, “So get off your ass, black people, it’s time to get out and vote!” Ludacris goes on to rap:

“Paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and I throw 'em like candy wrap
'cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents.”

With lyrics like that I can’t imagine why Obama is trying to distance himself from the song. His spokesman has simply reiterated that Obama finds rap lyrics today offensive and wouldn’t expose his daughters to them.

Reactions on YouTube, however, are mixed. But my personal favorite is the person who commented, “This is ludicrous” with no hint of irony.
