McCain Sheds His Angry Image On SNL, Allows Sarah Palin To Be Mocked Mercilessly

John McCain stepped up and appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Was it a last ditch attempt to humanize him or just his final **** it? Either way, he nailed it.

In the opening sketch, McCain supposedly took out an infomercial on QVC since his campaign doesn't have the money to do the media blitz that Obama has unleashed. The presidential candidate showed he could take a joke, but even better, he showed he was willing to throw Sarah Palin under the bus.

As usual, Tina Fey was spot-on, poking fun at Palin's extravagant wardrobe choices and sneaky ploy to win the presidency in 2012. Did McCain allow these jokes because he's bitter that Palin has possibly ruined his changes at the White House because she's a crazy, silly, gone-roguing liability? Maybe... and he'd be right. The truth is funny.

I wish people would stop using the phrase 'spot on'. It is becoming ridiculously hackneyed. You can't go a day anymore without hearing someone describe something as 'spot on'. Yuck. Posted 11/03/2008 1:12 PMReply
