And you thought having risqué photos all over Facebook was bad. Maria Kristina Dominguez has it worse, much worse.

The money manager for a hedge fund in New York just had her $3 million lawsuit against Diddy and Vibe magazine thrown out. I’m sure you’re wondering, what did Diddy do this time? If he’s not spewing politics on his nonsensical Diddy Obama Blog, he’s suspiciously present when gunshots are fired.

But, alas, Dominguez has only herself to blame in this situation. In 2006, Vibe magazine published a photo of Dominguez and two other ladies at Diddy’s 2003 White Party blowout wearing nothing but topless mermaid costumes, accompanied by a caption that read, “Mermaids gone wild” (naturally).

Sadly for Dominguez, the New York Supreme Court didn’t buy her invasion of privacy claim. The New York Daily News reports:

Justice Doris Ling-Cohan threw out the suit, saying Dominguez couldn't expect privacy once she doffed her top at Sean (Diddy) Combs' star-studded 2003 East Hampton White Party.

"Sean Combs and his renowned annual White Party are subjects of tremendous public interest, attracting the steady attention of the public and many news organizations," Ling-Cohan wrote.

Lesson learned: NYU students, if you can score an invite to the exclusive East Hampton party, go for it. But, if you don’t want your pasties splashed across the page, don’t wear them to a paparazzi-filled party.
