Michigan Football Team Must Step Up After Tom Brady Goes Down

He feels no pain

So the title may sound a little ridiculous, but hear me out. So we all know that last year was one of the most embarrassing years in Michigan Football history. However, we did have one outlet for which we could still hold on to our Michigan pride: Tom Brady. He was on his way to throwing an NFL record 50 TD passes and leading the New England Patriots to an undefeated season. People still wore the “Our Brady is better than yours” shirts even though both Brady's were gone from Michigan and Notre Dame. Granted, the Pats lost the Super Bowl and failed to finish the season undefeated. Michigan had already beaten Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators in the Capital One bowl, so we could milk that as a means to a not-so-bad-in-the-end season.

This year, we have no Brady to lean on when things start to go bad. For those of you who didn’t hear, Brady tore his ACL in yesterday’s season opener and will miss the remainder of the NFL season (sucks to your fantasy team). Frankly, we shouldn’t have to lean on anyone other than the guys on our own team. This weekend is a huge game against Notre Dame. Even though neither program is even near what they were two years ago, it provides a huge confidence boost to whoever comes out on top. For you freshmen out there who don’t know what to do for your first road game, check out the best bet poll from last summer for your top options.
