Harvard is many, many things: one of the most prestigious universities in the world; home to some of the best and brightest young minds; the only noteworthy locale in Massachusetts.

However, the University’s prestige and acclaim is once again in jeopardy—thanks to Freeze Magazine, a year-old magazine for college coeds.

You see, for the second year in a row, Freeze is organizing a Mr. Harvard Freshman contest to kick off the spring term. This glorified beauty pageant, in my humble opinion, undermines everything the Ivy League stands for: truth, justice and the academic way.

OK, not really, but honestly, winning the title of Mr. Harvard Freshman is probably more detrimental to one’s social standing than not.

And so, I wish you gentleman the best of luck.
